With its origin in Tommerup Stationsby, it runs approx. 28 km to the west and has its outlet at Sønderby Vig. On a stretch of over 9 km, the river has a fall of 40 meters which is why there is many water mills on the stretch. Parts of the river has free fishing when using ordinary fishing license. There are good access options for wheelchair users. Remember to be aware of finding the right stretches to fish on. They are marked with signs.
