Bølling Lake is with its 360 ha, a large recreated lake, located in Central Jutland. The lake is located at Engesvang, and was recreated in 2004-2005. Despite the young age of the lake, there are plenty of fish in the lake. Especially the wading fishing for the many pike is sought after by the fly fishermen, who have the opportunity for excellent fishing in the shallow water near the reed brample. The bottom is in most places relatively hard, which is why this also creates a good oppurtunity for jumping in your waders. The pike in Bølling Lake are hungry, and from May to October you can experience a fantastic fishing with surface lures, such as poppers.
