Søndersø has a good stock of pike, and eels are regularly stocked. Furthermore, perch are found. LF has stocked zander that are captured sporadically. Carp is also stocked in the lake, and today there is a good stock of carp with fish over 10 kilos.

The lake is known as "Winter Lake", ie. A lake where pike fishing really gets started in the fall. During the winter, there are large quantities of pike and other fish concentrated in the "hole" in the middle of the lake, but it may also be worthwhile to the slope off the "bath tree" on the north side and the edge of the "America Bay" in the southwestern part of the lake.
