Avnsø is one of Zealand's cleanest lakes. There are bathing bridge, tables, benches, campfire and a super fun swing where you rush out over the lake on a stick in a long string.
The beach is 5-10 meters wide and 50 meters long. The lake shore is a mixture of soil and coarse sand, and the lake bottom is of sand. The water depth is slowly rising from the shore and the shallow area is attractive to families with children. Avnsø is up to 8 meters deep in the deepest place.
In the lake there are roach, pike and perch.
