Giber Å is a true success story when it comes to nature and the fish in the river. Mainly after many years of restoration and removal of barriers. The seatrout can take advantage of the entire river's potential for spawning - and they do!
The fishing in the river is exciting and very challenging, as you almost crawl around under branches and shrubs to fish for the good holes. Fishing begins around July and continues until mid -October, when most fish are very colored.
With the river's many seatrout, there is a good chance of seeing spawning in winter. The spawning can be experienced in mid -November to end December.
The Anglers Association ARoS has the fishing rights on several stretches of the river and it requires membership to fish.
You must have a valid national fishing license to fish here - you may also need a fishing permit from an association or a private owner. Buy your national fishing license via the link below.
Season is only indicative and you must always read up on conservation times for the individual species and fishing spots.
