Vidåen is an exciting river, with many possibilities. The salmon has returned and the seatrout thrive in the river. Both trout and grayling are also not unusual to encounter - especially in the tributaries of vidå.
Vidåen also has a fine population of pike, zander and perch, as well as other coarse fish.
Vidå in Southern Jutland is Denmark's southernmost river system. The river goes through Rudbøl Lake, as well as the locks Höjer Sluse and Vidå Sluse. On certain stretches, the river is the border between Denmark and Germany.
