Aarhus Å has always been known for good fishing after seatrout and brook trout. After the Engsøen was built, the population has gone down drastically. Aarhus Municipality, in collaboration with associations and other interests, are working on a solution that is expected to be initiated in 2021.

Aarhus Å offers a good spring fishing for brook trout and has many great pieces where the May fly; Empera Danica hatches. This exciting dry fly fishing can be experienced from late May to early July.
