Arresø is Denmark's largest lake and is located in North Zealand, and is at the same time one of the northernmost lakes in Zealand. Arresø is very large and windy, which you need to be aware of when visiting the lake.

Arresø has a large stock of roach, bream, zander and eel. Other fish include pike, perch, lied, rudder shell and hork. The species, which was postponed in 1927, is a very fine eating fish. It is known to have a very fluctuating stock size, which tops with approx. 5-6 year intervals. Eg. It was estimated in 2001 that 24% of the fish mass was made up of zander, surpassed only by roach and bream.

Angling is allowed in Arresø. It is possible to fish from all the places where there is legal access and from the boat. The broad zone must not be traveled. At the same time, angling associations have been fishing in some places of the lake.
