Hald Lake is a large, deep lake, located south of Viborg. Hald lake, with its 31 meters, is actually the third deepest lake in Denmark. Likewise, the lake's water volume is huge, and it is primarily watered by underground sources. The water in the lake is very clear most of the year. Hald Lake is known for its good lake trout fishing, which is driven from the lake's dinghies, which are sailed exclusively with oars. It is forbidden to use engine and own boat in the lake. In the lake there are also large pike, a good stock of large perch, hero, eel and various coarse fish. A tremendously exciting and idyllic lake!
