The 480 acre and up to 21 meters deep water lake is one of the country's cleanest lakes. It is a so-called Karstsø. Thus, a nutrient -poor lake on lime bottom, which has water flow through cracks in the lime.
The lake has a fine fish stock that is dominated by perch and roach, but also contains pike, eel, whitefish and rudds. Fishing license for angling from the western shore of the lake can be purchased from the Nature Agency Thy or at Thy Tourist Office.
