Grindsted Å runs beautifully from Billund and down to the confluence with Ansager Å, after which the river is called Varde Å. upstream Grindsted is the river quite clear water and you can spot the fish in the river. The river was previously known for a fantastic fishing for grayling, and there is still a capable population around Grindsted and upstream. The early spring salmon can be caught up to Grindsted at high water levels. Otherwise, in the fall, after periods with high water levels, there is an exciting fishing for salmon and seatrout.
