At Linding Å the may flies hatch and the river catches itself in the tail as it runs in turns after turns. But the former population of larger brook trout and grayling are gone. The river is now a shadow of itself, plagued by ocher and sandwalk. Angling in the river has largely ceased, but salmon and seatrout spawn in large numbers and the potential of the river will hopefully be met in the future.
