Knudsø is a relatively deep lake that is part of the Gudenå system. The lake is connected to Birksø, where you sail under the bridge in Ry, to reach Knudsø. The lake has steep slopes on most of the south side, where the slopes of the North Side flatter out more. In the lake, some large pike have been caught over time, but also neat perch are sometimes caught. In the lake there are pike, perch, zander, sea trout, eel and various coarse fish.
